Prescribed collects the following categories of data you provide directly: • Personal information: name, age, gender, height, weight • Fitness data: workout logs, exercise sets, reps, and weights • Dietary data: food journal entries, fasting timers • Health data: Apple HealthKit metrics (if you grant permission) • Goal and preference data: fitness goals, activity level, program selections
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to: • Generate personalized workout and nutrition recommendations • Power AI-generated coaching summaries (sent to Anthropic's API) • Track your progress over time within the app
3. Data Storage
All personal and health data is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. We do not operate servers that store your personal information. When AI summaries are generated, a minimal workout summary is transmitted to Anthropic's API — no personal identifiers are included in that request.
4. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Anonymized Data for Research and Improvement
We may collect and use anonymized, de-identified aggregate data to improve our services, conduct fitness and health research, and demonstrate the effectiveness of our programs. This data includes demographic categories (age range, gender), fitness test results, and program completion metrics. This anonymized data: • Cannot be traced back to any individual user • Contains no personal identifiers (no name, email, birthday, or location) • May be shared in aggregate form with healthcare organizations, research institutions, or published in reports (e.g., 'average user fitness score improved by X% after 12 weeks') • Is never sold to third parties • Is used solely to improve our services and advance public health knowledge You may opt out of anonymized data collection at any time in your app settings without affecting your use of the app.
6. Health Data Protections
Health data obtained through Apple HealthKit will not be used for advertising, sold to data brokers, or shared with third parties without explicit consent, in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines. We protect your health data using encryption standards aligned with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) security requirements, including encryption at rest and in transit. While Prescribed currently operates as a health coaching and fitness platform, we apply healthcare-grade data protection standards to all user health information.
7. Your Rights
You can delete all your app data at any time by clearing your browser/app storage. There is no account to delete because we do not store your data on our servers.
8. Third-Party Integrations
Prescribed integrates with: • Apple HealthKit (optional, requires your permission) • Anthropic Claude API (for AI summaries — minimal data, no PII)
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes within the app.
